St.Paul
A film I was featured in, St. Paul, was named best film at the HBO New York International Latino Festival, and won for Best Short at the ’09 Imagen Awards. Director, Francisco Ordonez, has been busy with another short, Shard, featured at this year’s Shorts competition for the Tribeca Film Festivals. The production company he co-founded, Kulture Machine, was recently named to Filmmaker Magazine, “25 New Faces of Indie Film.”

Liza had the pleasure of working on Mando Alvarado’s new play Splitting Mama, directed by Taibi Magar, at INTAR for their New Works Lab 2010, an annual staged reading festival of new plays in development.

Liza started a blog!
Why do we live our lives the way we do? How much of it is influenced by love and how much of it by money? Here are true to life, slices of life, about people’s points of view on how we have come to survive in this world. These are pizza-pocket-sized moments about our relationship to each other and finances – our views, feelings, desires, dreams, fears and motivations.
We all come across these encounters on a daily basis. I just decided to write them down. To share. To honor. To remember.
